Many dragonfly species today are endangered due to the loss of their wetland habitat. In 1985, the first dragonfly sanctuary was established in Japan. An important part of the sanctuary are the ponds where dragonflies can live safely. A few things you can Plant to help are Water Irises, Water Lilies, Native Grasses, Wildflowers, Butterfly Bush, Marsh Marigold And Willow Trees.
